What are the “4 points” in a 4 point inspection?

Do you need a 4 point inspection done for insurance purposes? If this is your first 4 point or you just haven’t had one in awhile you may be curious what these “4 points” include.

4 Point Inspection:

Roof

HVAC System

Plumbing

Electrical

Once you hire a professional home inspector they will inspect all 4 systems above. This includes photos of each point. An inspector will typically take pictures of your roof covering, under cabinet plumbing, toilet connections, main/sub panels with and without the cover, exterior AC system and interior AC system.

A 4 point inspection will typically take about an hour to complete (depending on the size of the home). In Miami-Dade & Broward a majority of 4 point inspections are bundled with a Wind Mitigation Inspection.
